    At McKnight Dairy Services, we offer premium heat recovery systems from Fabdec. Fabdec water storage cylinders are constructed from stainless steel for increased durability and long service life.

    With Fabdec systems the process of recovering heat from your refrigeration process is dependable, cost effective and energy efficient.

    SPAR-HEAT:
    For use with a single cooling circuit with low run-time which can be used with immersion heaters.

    SMART-HEAT:
    For use with multiple cooling circuits to heat a single vessel.

    DUAL-HEAT:
    Combines heat recovery from multiple cooling circuits with use of immersion heaters.

    EXO-HEAT:
    Flexible proximity to compressors and flexible water storage.

  • We offer GEA’s range of packaged and remote air-cooled chillers, water-cooled chillers and cabinet chiller systems. All models have GEA’s Spiral Drum Heat Exchanger fitted as standard.

    Spiral drum evaporator: All models feature GEA’s trusted Spiral Drum Heat Exchanger.
    Horizon™ circuited air-cooled condenser: The finned receiver and sub-cooling circuits, fitted as standard, ensure the highest levels of efficiency on the market.
    Stainless steel glycol pumps: As standard are, an internal chiller evaporator pump and a dedicated glycol process pump for the plate heat exchanger.
    Total Cooling Control (TCC): Optional micro-processor controller available on all semi-hermatic chillers. Independent control cards provide superior control of the compressor, condenser, evaporator and pump functions.

    This is a complete packaged chilling system which is easily installed and simple to get started with.

    Remote Air-Cooled Chillers

    • Available in multiples of 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 horsepower compressor to meet your cooling load requirements
    • Choose from single, dual and triple-compressor base units
    • Optional semi-hermetic compressors for improved reliability and efficiency
    • Base unit installation can take place indoors indoors
    • Remote air-cooled condensers must be installed outdoors.

    • Base unit installation can take place indoors

    Classic Chillers

    Perfect for creating additional capacity to any chiller system.

    • Available in multiples of 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 horsepower compressor to meet your cooling load requirements
    • Choose from single and dual-compressor systems
    • Optional semi-hermetic compressors for improved reliability and efficiency
    • Must be installed outdoors
    • Pre-charged and pre-run at the factory
    • Built in a controlled environment to ensure maximum quality
    • Supplied with a circulation pump (but no glycol tank included)

    Cabinet Chillers

    These smaller systems have been designed without condensing units for use with remote-mounted condensing units. This provides increased installation flexibility to suit your available power supply – they are particularly suitable for installations without access to three-phase power.

    • Existing or new condensing units may be installed
    • Includes evaporators, circulation and process pumps, and electrical enclosures
    • Cabinet chillers should be installed indoors
    • Models available with the following horsepower: 3-5 HP, 2-15 HP and 2-30 HP

  • Fast chilling is important to maintain milk quality as milk begins deterioration as soon as it is harvested. Snap chilling with GEA’s aquaTESS or aquaCHILL solutions instantly slows the multiplication of naturally occurring bacteria to preserve milk quality.

    Snap Chilling from GEA is available as a standard or as a fully-integrated solution with smart controls to give you the power to manage your snap chilling, energy saving and heat recovery online.

    aquaCHILL

     

    The aquaCHILL from GEA is designed to assist dairy farms in meeting milk cooling standards. It is perfect for retrofitting, as a booster for your existing system, or as a new installation on your farm.

    • COP of 3.4 compared to DX with a COP of 1.8
    • Vat chilling is separate to spread the risk in the event of failure
    • Produces up to 350 litres of hot water per hour at 60°C
    • CONNECT2 control system makes it easy to use and diagnose

    aquaTESS

    AquaTESS

    The aquaTESS is a thermal energy storage system available in various options and sizes to meet the needs of any farm size. It offers everything you need from a snap chiller – from direct online chilling to thermal storage that utilises off-peak power for energy-saving efficiency.

    • Snap chills your milk to 5°C or less
    • Provides 150 – 350 litres of free hot water at 60°C every hour, depending on your chosen model
    • Minimum Energy Efficiency Rating (EER) of 3:1 while operating where outlet temperature is over 1ºC.
